Here are some great photos, just added!
We're now waiting for some great family stories to be told.
We will have notes added to each new photo, as information is received from the family.
Writing on the photo reads.....1939 American Hockey Team......Switzerland... Thomas W. Leahy
Mom and Dad, NYC, after WWII
Captain Leahy
The small & blurry words on the picture read:.............Thomas Leahy, a member of the hockey team to represent the U.S. Amateur Athletic Association, who sailed last Wednesday night for Zurich, Switzerland. Reports are eagerly awaited for results of the first contest in which Tom’s team plays against leaders from other countries.
Aunt and uncles, and father

Dad and brother Paul - Cape May
The Leahy's Wedding
My dad was chosen from the New York AC Team during the try outs of 1939. He also played for the New York Rovers and when he returned from Europe played next few seasons for the NY AC. Thereafter went into the Army and was wounded in Leyte Gulf, Philippines, (1944 MacArthur Landing). That ended his hockey career. My mother Catharine Leahy was a Captain in the Army Nurse Corp during the war.
